About CHERP
The Customer Home Electrification Readiness Program (CHERP) helps SDG&E® customers explore electric upgrades for their home and transportation—like heat pumps, solar, and EV charging. Use no-cost tools to understand options and see what rebates may be available.
Our tools and learning resources are available at no cost. Explore at your own pace, learn what upgrades make sense for your home, and see what rebates and incentives might be available to you. SDG&E customers living in a home with gas appliances may be invited to receive additional 1:1 support from an Energy Consultant as well as a customer support payment for completing qualified electric upgrades.
